Unlike internal positions sales create revenue, and when there\u2019s a vacancy, there is a lost in sales revenue, and a risk of losing customers to competition.<\/p>\n<p>Suppose you had a team of 10 sales reps, each with a territory responsibility of $1 million per year (at 100% productivity). You expect to have two turnovers every year, which is 20% vacancy. Smart sales managers should prepare to always be looking for talented people.
