Job Overview
We are seeking a proven Sales Manager to lead, coach, and develop a team of sales representatives in the Atlanta market. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, improving sales performance, developing sales talent, managing pipeline activity, and ensuring the team consistently meets or exceeds sales goals.
The ideal candidate has strong sales leadership experience, a history of building high-performing teams, and the ability to coach salespeople on prospecting, presentations, pipeline management, closing, and account growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, train, and motivate a team of sales representatives.
- Set clear sales goals, activity expectations, and performance standards.
- Monitor individual and team pipeline, sales activity, close rates, and revenue performance.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, pipeline reviews, call reviews, and performance coaching sessions.
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and develop sales talent.
- Assist sales representatives with strategy, customer meetings, proposals, and closing opportunities.
- Create and improve sales processes, scripts, playbooks, reports, and performance dashboards.
- Track performance metrics including calls, appointments, proposals, close rates, revenue, retention, and quota attainment.
- Partner with leadership to forecast revenue and identify growth opportunities.
- Address performance issues quickly and professionally.
- Build a culture of accountability, professionalism, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

Possible Experience Required
- 5+ years of sales experience preferred.
- 2+ years of sales management, team leadership, branch management, regional sales management, or sales supervisor experience preferred.
- Proven success leading a team to meet or exceed sales goals.
- Experience hiring, training, coaching, and developing sales representatives.
- Experience in B2B sales, outside sales, territory sales, account management, or consultative sales preferred.
- Experience managing CRM reporting, sales dashboards, and pipeline forecasts.
- Experience in industries such as business services, medical, dental, consumer products, technology, staffing, recruiting, industrial, construction, or professional services is a plus.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent sales leadership experience may be considered in place of a degree.
- Sales leadership training, management certifications, CRM certifications, or formal sales methodology training is a plus.
Travel Requirements
- Local travel within the Atlanta metro area may be required for customer visits, field rides, team meetings, networking events, or sales calls.
- Occasional regional travel may be required for company meetings, conferences, or training.
- Estimated travel: 10%–30%, depending on team structure and business needs.
